At the AI Automation Initiative we believe that the future of society and its well-being can be built by investing first in the next generation. This principle is true in many fields, even in technology in general and robotics in particular.

To new horizons, better careers, a better life

Thus, for today’s children who are exposed to the field of robotics and show an interest in it and the ability to assimilate the necessary knowledge, extraordinary horizons can open up. They can even be guided to choose automation as a direction for building a solid career, right from school.

There are many examples of such children – young talents – who have gone on to make outstanding contributions in various fields or become exceptional professionals. These personal achievements could not have been achieved without someone – a teacher, an educator or a sponsor – seeing the value in investing in pupils or students in schools beyond what is usually taught.

What did we do?

So, because we have these beliefs, we have set out to actively contribute, on a long-term basis, to encouraging, training and equipping young people eager to learn more about robotics.

Concretely, our initiative became a reality when we started a collaboration with one of the best known educational institutions in Arad, namely the Sabin Drăgoi College of Arts.

“Helios” Rover

Our collaboration consisted in supporting the “Team Helios” team, made up of young enthusiasts passionate about robotics and coordinated by Mrs Farkas Corina. Their objective was to build a rover robot that would bear the team’s name.

The satisfaction of being part of the success of others

I have had the great pleasure of meeting and working with this team during the planning and execution meetings of this project where I have offered them ideas, advice and encouragement. In addition, I had the opportunity to donate some of the pieces they used on this project.

Our satisfaction was immense. We were able to put at the disposal of some beautiful and talented young people all the experience we have gained in many years of robotics experience.

We know that the effort was well worth it as the project was a success and brought the Team Helios team the joy of success. We are also confident that we will continue to collaborate in the future with at least as many good results.

Robotics club for children over 6 years old

Another charitable project that gives us the chance to inspire and support students in their discovery of robotics is the robotics club for children over 6 years old in our city that we started in January 2021.

The project consists of weekly meetings with a mixed group of students from different schools in Arad, where the Ai Automation Initiative team teaches them robotics lessons.

The lessons are offered free of charge and are designed to teach children the basics of robotics and its applications in different areas of life.

So far, the group of future robotics experts 🙂 is made up of 6 students but we believe more will join them in the future. We see their curiosity and enthusiasm to discover interesting things and we enjoy every question asked, every thing understood and every project done together.

In addition, we see how more and more parents are realising the importance of such informal activities and learning contexts as an alternative to other online or offline activities that do not stimulate their children intellectually.

Below are some photos of our activities. We hope you will be inspired in turn.
